With over 45 alumni from across the country registered, the Western New England University College of Engineering hosted the 22nd Annual Alumni Mentoring Program kickoff event on Thursday, October 5—the first in a series of mentoring events slated for fall 2023 with the intention of connecting first-year engineering students with engineering alumni professionals. Hosted on Zoom, the event—an academic requirement for all first-year engineering students—provided close to 200 students exclusive access to engage with over 40 alumni from across New England and as far as California, Florida, Missouri, Virginia, and Texas. Through an array of breakout rooms and roundtable discussions, alumni collaborated with students to offer guidance, expertise, and advice as they look to develop their areas of interest, chart their academic paths, and enhance their aspirations for future careers.
