Kristine Goodwin Named Vice President of Student Affairs

Western New England University President Robert E. Johnson has announced the appointment of Kristine C. Goodwin as the University’s Vice President of Student Affairs. 

“Kristine is a widely respected administrator in the field of student affairs with over 30 years of direct experience,” said Dr. Johnson. “She is a proven problem solver and highly regarded in her field. Western New England University is fortunate to have Kristine join us.” 

Goodwin is charged with developing and maintaining an energized approach to cultivating an engaged student environment where learning, academic success, career readiness, and personal development are top priorities. She will oversee the University’s departments of Athletics, Career Education, Residence Life, Community Standards and Education, Student Involvement and Leadership, Inclusive Excellence, and the Center for Health and Wellness.

Goodwin earned a BA from Westfield State University and an MEd from UMass Lowell before graduating magna cum laude from the UMass School of Law in 2020. Goodwin has been a senior executive in higher education for over twenty years at multiple institutions, and most recently worked as an attorney and adjunct faculty member.
